Clear Creek Amana couldn’t hold a halftime lead falling to Maquoketa 73-55 in a WAMAC cross-divisional contest on Tuesday in Maquoketa.

The Clippers led 27-26 at the half but Maquoketa exploded for 47 second-half points while improving to 3-5 on the season.

The loss was the fifth straight for Clear Creek Amana and dropped the Clippers to 1-7 on the season.

Tate Thomsen led Clear Creek Amana with 24 points and Tyler Schrepfer had 10 for the Clippers.

Tyler Hallett added seven points for Clear Creek Amana.
